Structural Analysis

Structural Analysis of material handling machines. Crane element connections (pins, hinges, bolted flange, welding) strength calculation.
Examples of FEM (finite element analysis) using in crane structures:

  • During the crane design stage the FEM analysis helps to find the best design of the crane structure and find the plates necessary thickness
  • For repair procedure/modification (i.e. crane capacity, outreach) it is used to check the strength of the repaired/modified structure, decide about reinforcement necessity and assess its strength.
  • Structural Design of auxiliary elements and constructions during repair/modernization like lugs, lifting towers, brackets etc.
  • Lifting arrangement of heavy lifts analysis of lifting lugs, lifting beam, forces in rope definition, checking the necessity of the structure local reinforcement for crane lifting.

Crane lashing structure analysis for the sea voyage.
