Mechanical Engineer, PhD
Maksym has more than 15 years of Mechanical/Structural engineering experience in different countries like Ireland, Norway, Singapore, Ukraine etc. He has designed the crane structures, performed structural survey, taken part in consultancy projects and so on.
Maksym has started his career in Technical Department of KONE Cranes Ukraine with design and stress analysis of new portal cranes and modernization of existing cranes.
While doing his PhD thesis he worked in Odessa National Maritime University as a senior lecturer and research engineer at Department “Material handling machines”. He is very familiar with crane structure residual life assessment, strain gauge measurements, mechanism design.
He has successfully performed several projects of crane surveying, consultancy, structural design, repair procedure preparation and sea transportation as an Senior Engineer and Engineering Manager at PORTEK.
During his work at PALFINGER MARINE as a Mechanical Engineer Structural Analysis he has performed structural design of offshore cranes for Oil and Gas rigs and platforms, supply vessel cranes, wind farm service cranes etc.
He is currently working as a Section Leader for Structural Calculation and Design at Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd, Ireland performing structural analysis for RTG and STS cranes and their elements.
As a private consultant has performed more than 15 projects of structural design for Quay cranes, portal crane, ship loader, mobile harbor crane and overhead crane.
Also, he is an author of 26 articles. His scientific interest is lies in are of fatigue, fracture of material handling machines, residual life assessment
